Doctors are frequently asked to provide Non NHS Services for Patients including :

  • Private medical certificates;
  • Insurance reports (including confirmation of fitness to travel; holiday cancellation; immunisations status)
  • Pre employment checks including the completion of childminders form; occupational health checks
  • Medicals for HGV and PSV; Sporting activities; Firearms etc.
This list is not exhaustive and any request for signature; completion of a questionnaire or report; examination or tests not funded by NHS will attract a fee. Doctors completed these documents in their own time out side of surgery hours. There is no defined scale of fees however the BMA (British Medical Association) does give guidance on the setting of some fees. (click on link to see BMA guidance)
The Surgery has taken this guidance into consideration when setting the fees for the Surgery and have tried to keep the costs at a reasonable level. A list of charges can be found on the link below
